چکیده
MOTS-c is a 16-amino acid mitochondrial derivative peptide reported to be involved in regulating insulin and metabolic homeostasis via the AMP activated protein kinase (AMPK). AMPK agonist AICAR has been improve cognition. Previous reports also pointed out that may effective as therapeutic option toward prevention of aging processes. Therefore, we investigated roles memory recognition process. The results showed central not only enhanced object location formation consolidation but ameliorated deficit induced by Aβ1–42 or LPS. memory-ameliorating effects could blocked inhibitor dorsomorphin. Moreover, treatment significantly increased phosphorylation ERK, JNK, p38 hippocampus. underlying mechanism neuroprotection involve inhibiting activation astrocytes microglia production proinflammatory cytokines. In addition, found peripheral administration does cross blood–brain barrier (BBB) plays an effect. order brain intake MOTS-c, screen (PRR)5, cell penetrating peptides, carrier for into brain. Then NOR task, intranasal intravenous MP (cell-penetrating analogue) good performance on formation, consolidation, impairment. Near-infrared fluorescent experiments real-time biodistribution after infusion MP. These suggested might new potential target cognitive decline AD.

Osmotin attenuates LPS-induced neuroinflammation and memory impairments via the TLR4/NFκB signaling pathway
Toll-like receptor 4 (TLR4) signaling in the brain mediates autoimmune responses and induces neuroinflammation that results in neurodegenerative diseases, such as Alzheimer's disease (AD). The plant hormone osmotin inhibited lipopolysaccharide (LPS)-induced TLR4 downstream signaling, including activation of TLR4, CD14, IKKα/β, and NFκB, and the release of inflammatory mediators, such as COX-2, ...
متن کاملBDNF Pretreatment Attenuates Morphine-Induced Learning and Memory Impairment in Rats
Background: It has been known that Brain-Derived Neurotrophic Factor (BDNF) is involved in neural survival and long term memory (LTM). Here we hypothesized that BDNF as a potent neurotrophic factor might modulate amnestic effect induced by morphine. Objectives: The aim of this study was to examine whether infusion of exogenous BDNF in the CA1 regions of the dorsal hippocampi could ameliorate me...
متن کاملThe effect of intracerebroventricular administration of insulin on memory impairment-induced by scopolamine in male rats
Introduction: Cholinergic neuronal deficiency is one of the main causes of Alzheimer's pathology, which leads to learning and memory impairment. Scopolamine is a muscarinic cholinergic antagonist commonly used to induce Alzheimer's disease (AD). Insulin also regulates learning and memory function. Thus, the aim of this study was to determine the effect of central administration of insulin on pa...
متن کاملCaffeine attenuates paradoxical sleep deprivation induced- memory impairment during paradoxical sleep windows in rats
There is considerable evidence to support the hypothesis of relationship between paradoxical sleep (PS) and learning–memory processing. It has been suggested that PS is important in memory retention at the specific time course called PS windows (PSW). The time of PSWs occurrence and duration of these PSWs following the training sessions and, the neurochemical nature of PSWs has not been well kn...
